Getting Down to Basics
Young
children are active individuals who construct, modify and integrate
ideas by interacting with the physical world. They enter primary school
with substantial knowledge of math concepts and skills garnered through
a variety of media. It is essential to continue to provide mathematical
experiences that maintain their enjoyment and sense of inquiry.
